The Daggers, Colts, & Machineguns of ‘Peaceful Protestors’

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

The US has carried out the execution of four inmates sentenced to death by its judicial system for alleged manslaughter – charges which might or might not be true.
We are not in a position to judge, but if the murder was deliberate and intentional, the killer does deserve capital punishment in accordance with humanitarian laws for the safety of members of the society so that others take heed and do not commit homicide.
The human rights agency of the UN and the West European regimes have said nothing on the US executions, which means the death sentence is a normal procedure of penal justice.
And since the US regime is a partner in their bullying of the free world, there is no need for the World Body and the European Union to politicize the issue of executions or to raise questions whether those executed were actual murderers or were framed up by incompetent prosecutors of a highly flawed legal system.
In contrast to the manmade laws of secular societies where hypocrisy takes precedence over humanitarian values, the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on the Holy Qur’an which we Muslims regard as the Final Revealed Word of the Almighty Creator (preceded by other heavenly scriptures such as the Evangel and the Torah), and thus there is no question of any unfair approach to any issue of the society, since it is explicitly written:
“Whoever kills a soul without [its being guilty of] manslaughter or corruption on the earth, is as though he had killed all mankind, and whoever saves a life is as though he had saved all mankind.” (5:32)
Right from day one of its establishment the Islamic Republic has never exceeded any bonds in such sensitive cases of life and death, neither has it allowed emotions to overcome the course of proper probe, nor dealt arbitrarily. On the contrary, it has displayed the highest form of mercy and clemency, to the extent that if the heirs of the victim accept blood-money from the murderer, his/her life is spared.
Moreover, unlike the trigger-happy US policemen and soldiers stationed abroad who wantonly kill the innocents and go scot free, Iran’s security forces are famous for their self-restrain and leniency. They have always saved humanity, whether in Iran where the US-backed MKO traitors killed 17,000 people in the 1980s or in neighbouring countries where the US and its terrorists have massacred hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people – Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc.
These undeniable factors have been on the finest display during the recent scattered incidents of riots in a few places in Tehran and parts of some other cities when many police personnel attained martyrdom, along with scores of unarmed Basijis (volunteers) and other civilians (including women, children, and pilgrims) who were brutally lynched, burned, knifed, and shot dead by thugs, traitors, and terrorists acting on the orders of the US, Britain, and the illegal Zionist entity.
Not has a day since passed in Iran when funerals attended by thousands of mourners reaffirming their loyalty to the Islamic Republic system and its Leadership have not been held for the victims of these foreign-funded massacre of the innocents amidst growing public demands for bringing to justice the murderers as well as their backers.
Again, the humanitarian Islamic laws of Iran’s judicial system are fully evident, and of the murderers so far nabbed, only five have been handed the death penalty after due probe and proof of their crimes, of course, with the right to appeal.
This is while the US, Canada, West European regimes, and even the UN falsely accuse Iran of arresting and punishing ‘peaceful protestors’, but ignores the fact that ‘these lovers of peace’ freely use daggers, colts, and machineguns to kill not just policemen, but passersby as well, including women and children – an excellent way of putting into practice the slogan of ‘women, life, liberty’ for which, the West and those on its payroll say, generation after generation of Iranian youth and women have been deprived of since 1979!
Fie on these liars for distorting realities and politicizing issues related to the Islamic Republic, including the repeatedly confirmed civilian nuclear project, and that too despite the horrific footage proudly telecast by their own media horns, (the Farsi false narrative TV channels included), of the arson, looting, murders, and blasphemy being committed by their agents on the streets of Iran.
Does this mean it is only the murderers so far nabbed who deserve capital punishment while those who back them with weapons and funds and through the social media should be left unpunished?
The US, which has just executed four convicts and is murderously calling on its agents to indulge in violence and vandalism in Iran, ought to answer this question on Iran’s legitimate death penalty verdicts as well as the right of retaliation for the innocent blood of Martyr Qassem Soleimani, by hypothesizing: What if these four were backed by some foreign country in their commitment of homicide!
