FM: No Ban on Iran’s Arms Trade
TEHRAN – The foreign minister of Iran said although Tehran can freely sell and purchase arms under the UNSC Resolution 2231, it has not provided Russia with any weapon for use in the Ukraine war.
“According to Security Council Resolution 2231, we do not have a ban on the export and import of weapons, but we have not given any weapons to Russia to use in the Ukraine war,” Hussein Amir-Abdollahian said in a telephone conversation with his Bulgarian counterpart Nikolay Milov.
