Shiraz Attack Revealed Enemies’ Desperation
DAMASCUS (Dispatches) – Syrian Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf on Monday touched on the recent terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Shiraz, saying that whenever the enemies of the resistance fail to achieve their goals, they resort to dirty and weak methods.
Makhlouf said the attack at Shah Cheragh shrine which left at least 13 pilgrims martyred is the biggest sign of the despair of the enemies of resistance.
On behalf of the Syrian government, he extended his condolences to the “government and nation of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran and the families of the martyrs” and declared Syria’s solidarity with Tehran.
Makhlouf said that Iran and Syria have a history of common and productive cooperation, which he pledged to continue at full throttle.
President Ebrahim Raisi has vowed that Iran will deliver a crushing response to those behind the bloodshed, emphasizing that the country’s security and law enforcement forces “will deliver a decisive response to its architects and operatives, which will make them regret their act.”
