Grape Festival Underway in Markazi Province

TEHRAN (IP) - The 9th grape syrup cooking festival was held in Hezaveh village, the hometown of Amir Kabir in Markazi Province.
The village festival was held in the form of about 55 exhibition booths with the aim of promoting tourism in Hezaveh village and was welcomed by people and tourists.
Hezaveh village has 350 hectares of gardens with 16 types of grapes, 20 tons of grapes are harvested per hectare, and about twenty types of products are produced from grapes.
All kinds of products produced from grape syrup, Tarhana, vinegar, and grape, walnut, and almond products were offered for seven days, October 23-29, 2022, at the Hezaveh grape festival.
Tarhana is a dried food ingredient, based on a fermented mixture of grain and yoghurt or fermented milk, found in the cuisines of Central Asia, Southeast Europe and the Middle East. Dry tarhana has a texture of course, uneven crumbs, and it is usually made into a thick soup with water, stock, or milk.
