Joint Production Drama Hits Screens in Sao Paulo

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Mostra – Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil has been screening Iranian movie ‘Until Tomorrow’.
Produced by filmmaker/actress Niki Karimi and directed by Ali Asgari, the Iranian-French-Qatari movie is going on screen at the New Directors Competition section of the Brazilian event.
“Fereshteh has to hide her illegitimate baby for one night from her parents who turn up for a surprise visit. Her friend Atefeh helps her. They embark on an odyssey through Tehran during which they must carefully weigh up who their allies are,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The cast list includes Sadaf Asgari, Ghazal Shojaee, Babak Karimi, Amir-Reza Ranjbaran, Nahal Dashti, and Mohammad Heidari.
‘Until Tomorrow’ marked its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany.
It has also gone on screen at some global events, including the International Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey, the Ulju Mountain Film Festival in South Korea, the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland, the Osnabrück Independent Film Festival in Germany, the Ajyal Film Festival in Qatar, and the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, where it received an honorable mention.
The 46th edition of the Mostra – Sao Paulo has been slated for October 20-November 2, 2022.
