Novel Turned Animation Screened at Tehran ‎International Festival

TEHRAN (IBNA) -- ‘Yamaha’, a short animation film based on an eponymous novel, a story on the life ‎of an Iranian martyred translator and Ahmad Omi will be screened at the ‎‎39th Tehran ‎International Short Film Festival (TISFF).‎
The novel ‘Yamaha’ by Mahboubeh Hajian-Nejad has been written in 31 chapters each containing an open letter Ahmad Omi, wrote for his lost brother. Using stop motion technique, ‎the short animation film ‘Yamaha’ has been directed by Farzaneh Ghobadi.
This novel is centered on the character of Ahmad, a village boy who rebels against the traditional dogmatic beliefs of his family led by his intolerant cleric father and despite his father’s will decides to study English at the university.

Tehran International Short Film Festival is a film festival held in Tehran every year in October with a focus on short films. The festival was founded in 1983.
