TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian movie ‘Drops Give Life’ has won an award at the Ekofilm International Film Festival in Czech Republic.
Directed by Farshid Azari, the film won the award at the Beauty of Nature competition section of the 2022 edition of the event.
“Masht Hussein is a rancher, a reasonable human being who has a great deal of respect for nature. Every day for more than thirty years, kindly and without any help, he has been walking several kilometers through impassable high land to water the thirsty animals and birds in the area where drought and aridity have made the living difficult for them. You can feel life in the area under his care. At the end of the difficult path and after completing an arduous task, Masht Hussein, tired yet happy, watches birds and animals drink water and enjoys it,” the synopsis of the film reads.
EKOFILM is an international film festival about the environment, natural and cultural heritage. It brings a wide range of viewers the latest findings about the condition of nature and the environment in various countries of the world and in many cases facts about dealing with serious issues.
The 48th edition of the event was held on October 12-15, 2022.
