Iranian Youths Win 13 Asian Track and Field Championship Medals

TEHRAN – The Iranian athletes participating in the 2022 Kuwait Asian Track and Field Championship (October 12-15) ended winning 13 medals.
On the last day of the competitions, on Sunday, October 16, Elaheh Alizadeh threw the hammer 14.92 meters, breaking the Iranian national records in her age group, to rank 3rd and win a bronze medal.
In the athletics seven field, Elnaz Musie gained 3,797 points to rank 3rd and win the bronze medal.
In 2,000-meter obstacle running, Reza Mostafanzhad recorded 6:08:77 minutes to rank 3rd and win also a bronze medal. Iran’s other athlete, Yusof Azarian, too, recorded 6:09:04 minutes to rank 4th in this field.
In girls In 2,000-meter obstacle running, Setayesh Amini recorded 7:16:69 minutes, breaking the national record for teen aged group, and ranking 3rd to win a bronze medal.
The Iranian athletes had in the first three days of the championship won 9 medals, and ended their work with 13 medals.
The medals won by the Iranian team in the Asian Championship are as follows: Gold: Muhammad-Hesam Mozaffari, Nazanin Eydian, Mahdi Haft-Cheshmeh, and Sajjad Aqaie.Silver: Melica Nowruzi, Arshia Mosaddeqi, Sina Afshinfar, and Farid Qarnjik.Bronze: Mahdis Minaipur, Elahe Alizadeh, Elnaz Musaie, and Reza Mostafanezhad.
