Tajik, Iranian Artists Shine at Cultural Week Programs
TEHRAN (IP) - Tajik cultural week programs were held in the historic and beautiful city of Tabriz, the capital of East Azarbaijan province, northwest of Iran, with the presence of Tajik and Iranian artists.
Cultural Week of Tajikistan in Iran, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, and the Embassy of Tajikistan in Tehran, was held from October 3 to 8, 2022 in Tehran, Tabriz and Shiraz, respectively.
Tajik and Turkish music performances, poetry readings by Tajik and Iranian poets, Tajik and Iranian artist meetings, Tajik painting works exhibition, and other cultural programs were held during the cultural week of Tajikistan in Tabriz.
Tajik cultural days in Tabriz were accompanied by Tajik artists attending the tomb of the famous Tajik poet Kamal Khojandi and showering it with rose petals, followed by Tajik and Iranian artists’ performances.
“Zafar Mohammadi,” the adviser of the Tajik Embassy in Iran, in an interview with the Iran Press in Tabriz, said that the placement of Kamal Khojandi’s tomb in Tabriz serves as a cultural bridge between the two countries.
Soraya Hakimzadeh, a Tajik poet, said in an interview with Iran Press that the cultural relations between Iran and Tajikistan would lead to the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
The cultural week programs of Tajikistan in Iran were kicked off last Monday in Tehran’s Abbasabad cultural tourism area and continued in the cities of Tabriz and Shiraz.
