TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian movie ‘Sea Boys’ has been selected to vie at the Innovative International Film Festival in Banglore, India.
The film, directed by by Afshin Hashemi, made its way to the 2022 edition of the event.
‘Sea Boys’, alongside four other Iranian films will represent Iran at various sections of the event.
The movie is a social drama that takes place in south of Iran; a melodrama starring teenage actors of the south along with prominent actors in cinema and television.
The cast list of the movie includes Mona Farjad, Yasin Habibpour, Payam Amir-Abdollahian, Mahnoush Sheikhi, Hassan Khaldoun, Ali Bahri, Aisan Hadad and the director.
The film has previously participated in cinematic events such as the Shanghai International Film Festival in China and the Cinekid ScreeningClub in the Netherlands.
Innovative International Film Festival is one platform which places ‘Indie’ films and popular commercial cinema shoulder to shoulder for the regional, national and International audiences. They screen films to gain recognition and gather audience’s appreciation.
The 5th edition of the festival is scheduled for October 6-9, 2022.
