Best Cinematography Award Goes to Iranian Film in UK
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Old Tree’ has grabbed an award at the Portobello Film Festival (PFF) in the UK.
Iranian cinematographer Arash Abbasi won the Best Cinematography award at the 27th edition of the festival.
Directed by Moshfegh Shojaei, the film represented Iran alongside six other Iranian short films.
“In the middle of war, an old man doesn’t want to leave his village and wants to stay,” a short synopsis of ‘Old Tree’ reads.
Other details of three-minute film are yet to be released.
The PFF is an independent international film festival based in London, which annually premiers more than 700 new films, including features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, and animations.
Additionally, workshops and talks with top film directors are also featured.
This year’s edition of the event kicked off on September 01 and came to an end on September 18.
