Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Ecxeeds 2, 544,000 Tonnes

TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Sunday reported that over 2,544,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of $609 million, were traded on domestic and exporting halls of IME in the last week, logging growths of 28% and 31% in volume and value respectively.
The IME’s report added that on its metals and minerals trading floor, over 2,007,000 tonnes of commodities including 1,113,380 tonnes of cement, 345,000 tonnes of iron ore, 382,942 tonnes of steel, 139,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 16,745 tonnes of zinc, 8,225 tonnes of aluminum, 8,710 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 200 tonnes of coke and 29 kg of gold bars with total value of $357 million were traded in the IME trading halls in the last week.
And also, the report added that over 526,752 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 92,389 tonnes of polymeric products, 217,050 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 48,900 tonnes of lube cut, 30,877 tonnes of chemicals, 1,800 tonnes of sulfur, 4,964 tonnes of base oil, 250 tonnes of insulation and 129,168 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $245 million were traded in the IME’s trading halls.
It’s worth noting that the IME traded 2 units of apartment on its real estate trading floor.
The IME also traded within the same week 10,265 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
