Iranian Teenagers Awarded at United Nations Art Competition
TEHRAN (IRNA) - Two Iranian teenagers were among the winners of the UNEP Art Competition in the Asia-Pacific region.
At a ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol and World Ozone Day, the winners of the Art Competition of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) were introduced and honored.
The competition was held in two national and regional stages, including graphic design, painting, and photography, to boost the connection between ozone layer protection and climate change, as well as achievements from the Montreal Protocol, developing the determination and permanent support of people to remove the destructive substances of the ozone layer plus reducing the destructive gases of the ozone layer.
The received works were judged according to the criteria considered by the Organizing Executive Agency (UNEP), and two works of art from Iran were chosen as the best among 39 final selected works in the region.
