World Researchers Invited to Farabi Awards
TEHRAN (IRNA) – Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology is holding the 14th edition of Farabi International Award (FIA) on Humanities and Islamic Studies and called on researchers around the world to submit their research pieces to the secretariat of the event.
FIA is held annually by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cooperation with Iran’s National Elite Foundation and the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in two national and international sections.
The international section is aimed at encouraging and introducing top researches to the international community to identify top talents, top scientific works and theories, new methods, and projects in three fields of “Iranian Studies”, “Islamic Studies” and “Theistic Sciences,” according to the announcement.
Eligible researchers will be awarded in two categories of “Leading Figure” and “Top Research”.
Leading figures should have the following features:
1. Outstanding scientific works and reference works;
2. Innovation or having effective theories;
3. Effective background in the development of higher education;
4. Effective background in training a new generation of specialists;
5. Scientific and practical influence in international forums.
Also, top research works need to possess the following properties:
1. A clear problem-solving and theoretical framework;
2. Methodological and interdisciplinary approach;
3. Critical approach to different views and schools in the subject area of the research;
4. Appropriate innovation;
5. A paradigm, effective theory, or coherent system (in basic research) or a practical and executive solution to the existing problems (in applied research);
The submitted works must have been published in the period from March 2019 to the end of March 2022.
Those who wish to participate in the FIA, should submit their works until November 30, 2022 via www.farabiaward.ir.
