IME Weekly Trade Tops $721 Million

TEHRAN - The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,574,119 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $721 million were traded on the IME’s domestic end exporting halls, logging growths of 30% and 90% in volume and value respectively in the last week.
The report said that over 1,986,000 tonnes of metals and minerals commodities, including 869,683 tonnes of cement, 495,000 tonnes of iron ore, 506,228 tonnes of steel, 96,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 625 tonnes of zinc, 10,975 tonnes of aluminum, 7,557 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 30 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 500 tonnes of coke, 18 kg of gold bars and 600 Dignity and Fidelity SUV automobiles with total value of $477 million were traded in the IMEs trading halls.
It also added that, on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor over 578,017 tonnes of commodities including 74,642 tonnes of polymeric products, 220,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 57,000 tonnes of lube cut, 32,891 tonnes of chemicals, 48,300 tonnes of sulfur, 5,711 tonnes of base oil, 640 tonnes of insulation and 138,419 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $240 million were traded in the last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 9,476 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
