Prominent Sculptor Passes Away at 101

TEHRAN (Honaronline) – The Veteran Iranian Sculptor Mirhassan Arjangnejad died from coronavirus on Tuesday. He was 101.
Arjangnejad was born in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad. He began sculpting in Gholamreza Rahimzadeh-Arjang’s worksh.
He created 12 sculptures featuring Iran’s great figures including the Persian mythical character Arash the Archer, and Nader Shah, installed in various Iranian cities.
Veteran Artists Institute CEO Seyyed Abbas Azimi offered his condolences to the Iranian art community on the death of the great artist.
