IME Weekly Trade Tops $480 Million

TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) has reported that over 2,094,115 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $482 million were traded in the IME’s trading halls in the last week, logging growths of 1% and 11% in volume and value respectively.
The IME’s report said that over 1,677,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities, including 866,110 tonnes of cement, 460,000 tonnes of iron ore, 235,974 tonnes of steel, 61,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 36,025 tonnes of zinc, 13,350 tonnes of aluminum, 5,729 tonnes of copper, 30 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 30 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 12 kg of gold bars with total value of $269 million were traded in its trading halls.
Ira also said that on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 408,439 tonnes of commodities, including 82,507 tonnes of polymeric products, 87,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 49,000 tonnes of lube cut, 39,761 tonnes of chemicals, 2,625 tonnes of sulfur, 5,737 tonnes of base oil, 200 tonnes of insulation and 137,729 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $212 million were traded in the last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 5,343 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
