Int’l Confab on Resistance Against Terrorism Kicks Off in Iran

KERMANSHAH – An international conference dubbed Resistance against Terrorism kicked off on Tuesday in Kermanshah, the capital of Kermanshah Province, western Iran.
The two-day conference is taking place at the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences of Razi University.
The head of the university, Muhammad Nabi Ahmadi, made the opening speech calling for resistance against arrogant countries that seek to make decisions for West Asian nations.
He said that resistance against arrogant powers has costs, such as sanctions and economic problems. But, he added, all countries supporting the resistance should work to resolve these problems.
The conference brings together 22 Iranian and foreign figures from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Turkey.
Yemeni Ambassador to Tehran Ibrahim al-Deilami as well as representatives of Palestinian resistance groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad are among the speakers of the conference.

A number of university professors and international relations experts along with sons of two martyrs of terrorist attacks are scheduled to make speeches at the international event.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has been targeted by terrorist elements since the onset of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in February 1979.
Even some high-ranking officials such as the then president and prime minister were martyred in terror attacks.
