TEHRAN – Iran and Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding to combat sandstorms that have troubled both countries.
The agreement was signed here by Ali Salajegheh, head of Iran’s Department of Environment, and Iraq’s Environment Minister Jasesim al-Falahi. Iranian scientists have developed a few types of ecofriendly mulch that has yielded positive results in both laboratory and field tests, Salajegheh said.
