Iranian Animation Breaks Box Office Records in Russia

Iranian animation ‘Dolphin Boy’ has been ranked high at Russian box office.
The animated piece directed by Mohammad Kheirandish has been on the silver screens in over 2700 theaters in Russia, selling $1.7 million at the Russian box office in only two weeks.
This ranks the ‘Dolphin Boy’ as one of the highest-grossing films of the Iranian cinema.
Produced by Owj Arts and Media Organization, the animation took two years of production.
The film which was previously planned to premiere at the 39th edition of Fajr Film Festival, is scheduled to hit big screens at Iranian cinemas from September 2022.
Mohammad-Amin Hamedani, the producer of the film told the media that the crew has also decided to produce a series version of ‘Dolphin Boy’.
