Canadians to Enjoy Iran’s ‘Piece of Solitude’

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short animation ‘Piece of Solitude’ has found its way to the Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada.
Written and directed by Elaheh Qomeyshi, the 9-minute short will be among the short films to compete at the 25th edition of the Canadian event.
‘Piece of Solitude’, produced at Documentary & Experimental Film Center is a psychological drama that themes on life in seclusion.
“A lonely amnesiac man lives in his paternal home. He has a habit of filling empty books with his beloved tokens of the past. During an event, he remembers his childhood memories and a harmonica he lost. He starts to search for it”, reads a brief synopsis of the flick.
Ali Rajaee, Bahar Qomeyshi, Hydouk Georgian and Ashkan Irabmanesh comprise the cast list of the short.
The Fantasia International Film Festival is a cultural and professional event that provides room for directors, actors, producers, studio representatives, distributors and festival programmers to experience the legendarily enthusiastic, taste-making audience of Fantasia.
This year’s edition of the fest is set for July 14- August 03.
