TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Fishermen in southern Iran release trapped hawksbill sea turtle after spotting the endangered animal jammed in a fishing net.
You can see the turtle was just a few minutes away from death given that the trapped animal cannot come to the surface and will drown in the water.
The waters of Iran’s southern region are teeming with all sorts of aquatic life.
The release of the turtle back into the ocean is always a cause for celebration, as it not only improves the local ecosystem but provides a moment of connection between humans and nature.
These turtles are a vital part of the food chain and help to keep the delicate balance of life in the waters intact.
In this way, the work of the southern fishermen benefits not only themselves and their families but also the ecosystem as a whole.
