IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $720 Million

TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday has reported that over 2,294,055 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of $720 million were traded on its domestic and exporting markets in the last week.
The IME’s report said over 1,974,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including 1,263,000 tonnes of cement, 566,843 tonnes of steel, 96,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 36,970 tonnes of zinc, 6,500 tonnes of aluminum, 6,501 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 6 kg of gold bars with total value of were $495 million were traded on its markets.
It also added over 313,292 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 78,691 tonnes of polymeric products, 50,400 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 41,500 tonnes of lube cut, 39,191 tonnes of chemicals, 2,040 tonnes of sulfur, 4,055 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of feed gas, 99,298 tonnes of bitumen and 225 tonnes of insulation with toatal value of $219 million were traded on IME’s markets.
The IME also traded within the same week 6,172 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
