France Hosts ‘Cylinder’ at Cinéma(s) D’Iran
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Cylinder’ is taking part in Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran in France.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that the film is competing in the ninth edition of the festival.
Written and directed by Amir Pazirofteh, ‘Cylinder’ is about a teenager who must obey his father who is obsessed with money, regardless of his own interest and talent in soccer.
“The father prevents his son from going to the football competition by any means. Eventually, after a consistent struggle, the match day arrived and the boy decided to reach the final match with the help of his friend, in any case,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The ninth edition of Festival Cinéma(s) d’Iran kicked off on June 22 and will run until June 28.
According to the report, the festival is aimed to introduce the Iranian culture to people in France.
