TEHRAN (Shana) -- The
caretaker of Marjan Petrochemical Company Mehran Banazadeh has said that despite the restrictions on gas feedstock in order to supply domestic gas in winter, the company’s yield was 95% of its nominal capacity in the calendar year of 1400 which ended on March 20.
Speaking at the annual general assembly, Banazadeh said the that the company operated at 95% of its nominal capacity during the previous calendar year despite shortages in gas feedstock supply and construction of another methanol plant in the region.
Presenting the financial reports to the assembly, he added: “The income from the sale of the products has doubled, but the increase in gas prices, as the most important component in the cost price of methanol, has had a great impact on rising costs.”
