Poland Awards Iran’s ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’

Iranian feature ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ has won an award at the KINOLUB international film festival in Poland.
The film directed by Babak Nabizadeh, grabbed the Grand Prix and the Jury of the Film Educators Special Award of the seventh edition of the festival.
The film is about Burhan, a rural smart teenager, who forms a band and plays music to attract tourists to Hormuz Island. His life has prospered and more tourists arrived on the island, but a big problem is down the road.
KINOLUB is “a celebration of films produced for children and youth”, the event’s website reads.
“Each year in June different cities offer festival screenings to audiences between 4 and 18 years of age.”
It aims “to create an environment for young people to actively and keenly participate in the cultural life and to develop new mindful audiovisual audiences”.
The seventh edition of the event is currently underway from June 10-20, 2022.
