Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Tops $640 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 1,919,620 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of almost $647 million were traded in domestic and exporting halls of in the last week.
The IME’s report said that, over 1,417,000 tonnes of metals and minerals commodities, including 726,497 tonnes of cement, 312,000 tonnes of iron ore, 298,882 tonnes of steel, 34,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,125 tonnes of aluminum, 10,500 tonnes of copper, 26,029 tonnes of zinc, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 1,000 tonnes of cast iron ingots, 1,000 tonnes of coke and 9 kg of gold bars with total value of $324 million were traded in the IME trading halls.
It also said that over 495,944 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 93,287 tonnes of polymeric products, 163,429 tonnes of bitumen, 50,000 tonnes of lube cut, 18,400 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 44,968 tonnes of chemicals, 1,370 tonnes of sulfur, 5,191 tonnes of base oil and 100 tonnes of argon with total value of $316mn were traded in the IME’s trading halls.
The IME also traded within the same week 6,147 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
