Milad Tower Showcases Horse Themed Art Exhibition

TEHRAN (Honaronline) -- A visual art exhibition, featuring paintings and sculptures, is underway at Tehran’s Milad Tower.
Curated by Ali Valashjerdi-Farahani, the artworks on display revolve around the concept of horses and other animals.
The exhibition is the second of its kind. In 2016, the first edition was held on the sidelines of the First Tehran Horse & Pet Show in southern Tehran, which was warmly welcomed by visitors.
The curator said, “Humans have had a very good relationship with this animal in different eras. In Iran’s culture and civilization, there are names of heroes such as Garshasb (owner of a slim horse), Tahmasb (owner of a fat and strong horse), which are taken from the word “horse”.
Thirty-three painters and sculptors are participating in the event, each with five artworks (two works on display in an in-person format, and three others on view at the digital section of the event).
The show will run through June 15 at Milad Tower’s Hafta Gallery.
