TEHRAN – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday hailed the country’s friendly relations with Croatia which he said have grown despite the hurdles caused by the sanctions and the coronavirus pandemic.
In a message to his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanovic, Raisi congratulated Croatia on its Statehood Day, which is marked on May 30 to celebrate the constitution of the first modern multi-party Croatian Parliament in 1990.
He said Iran and Croatia are celebrating the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties while their friendly relations have continued to grow in spite of the difficult conditions caused by the cruel sanctions imposed on Iran and the restrictions in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic in the past two years.
Raisi also expressed hope that Iran and Croatia would further enhance and deepen their relations and cooperation in the political, economic and cultural areas to serve the interests of the two nations.
