Directorial Debut ‘Pass’ On Way to Kingston Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) in the UK has been slated to play host to Iranian short flick ‘Pass’.
The film, directed by Elika Abdollahi, will be among the competing titles to be screened at the Student Short Film section of the first edition of the British event.
‘Pass’ that aims to reduce social harms is about two friends who get stuck in a weird situation due to an accident.
The cast list of the film includes Aziz Nemati, Somayyeh Rahimi, Shadab Kokabi, Arsam Hossein-Panahi, Niha Sheikhi, and Souran Rezvanizadeh.
The 11-minute flick, Abdollahi’s first directorial experience, has already been screened at a number of film events, including the Asoric Film Festival and the Tassvir Film Festival, both in Iran, and the Concordia Film Festival in Canada.
The KIFF, aiming to support independent cinema, is dedicated to give chance to both established and emerging independent filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work to the industry.
This year’s edition of the event is set to be held on June 24-26.
