TEHRAN (IRNA) – The Fourth Tawhidi Poem Congress kicked off in Meybod city near the central Iranian city of Yazd, attended by 207 poets from nine countries.
Some 580 poetic works from Iran, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan Republic, Pakistan, Russia, India, Bahrain and Syria have been submitted to the congress secretariat, according to the executive secretary of the event Hadi Zare.
The themes of the congress include Tawhid (oneness of God) and related knowledge, description of God’s names and attributes, the manifestation of God’s beauty and nobleness in earthly phenomena, watching God’s greatness in the universe, giving thanks to God and invocation to God.
In the final part of the congress, 30 Iranian and foreign poets will be introduced as the winners and granted awards.
