IME Weekly Trade Tops $679 Million

Tehran – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,167,485 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of $679 million were trade in domestic and exporting trading halls in the last week.
The report said that over 1,748,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including 1, 187,798 tonnes of cement, 170,000 tonnes of iron ore, 215,565 tonnes of steel, 83,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 11,925 tonnes of aluminum, 9,550 tonnes of copper, 140 tonnes of lead, 70,900 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 10 kg of gold bars with total value of $374mn were traded in IME’s trading halls.
It also said that 412,363 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 114,185 tonnes of bitumen, 96,580 tonnes of polymeric products, 23,000 tonnes of lube cut, 121,650 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 41,125 tonnes of chemicals, 10,560 tonnes of sulfur, 4,330 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of insulation and 70 tonnes of argon with total value of $296 were traded in its trading halls.
The exchange’s customers purchased on this floor 114,185 tonnes of bitumen, 96,580 tonnes of polymeric products, 23,000 tonnes of lube cut, 121,650 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 41,125 tonnes of chemicals, 10,560 tonnes of sulfur, 4,330 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of insulation and 70 tonnes of argon.
Next was the IME’s automobile trading floor with trades of 103 Cara Sedan automobiles.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 6,236 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
