KABUL (Xinhua) – A blast triggered by an unexploded device has killed a child and injured another in Police District 1 of Ghazni city, the capital of eastern Ghazni province, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported Saturday. Quoting a police official Sayed Ishaq Saleh, the news agency added that the blast was due to an unexploded device left over from the wars and went off when the children were playing with it. Meanwhile, two children lost their lives in a landslide that hit a village in Waras district of central Bamiyan province on Friday, provincial administration spokesman Sabour Sighani said Saturday. According to the official, the natural disaster hit Kaftar Khan village in Waras district on Friday afternoon, killing two sisters on the spot.
