Shiraz Hosts Festival of Iranian Folklore Music
TEHRAN -- The second
national folklore music festival and rituals of Iranian ethnic groups is being held at Hafez Hall in the city of Shiraz for six days (May 15-20, 2022).
Every night, two to four local and traditional music groups will perform at the festival. It opened with the performance of Lorestani and Qashqai groups.
Art groups from Kerman, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer-Ahmad, and Gilan provinces performed and shone on Tuesday night.
Iranian traditional music also has fans in different parts of the world, which is why tourists visiting Shiraz these days visit the music festival too.
The second national folklore music festival in Shiraz shows the diversity of cultural, literary, and artistic geography of the ethnic groups in Iran, which reflects the rich civilization of Iran and the peaceful life of the country’s people.
