Festival of Ethnic Groups Held in Khorramabad
TEHRAN -- The fifth national cultural festival of Iranian ethnic groups is being held at Golestan Garden at the historical fortress of Falak-ol-Aflak in Khorramabad in western Iran.
Artists and ethnic groups from 30 provinces of Iran are participating in the festival being held through May 8-12 and host various segments of the population, tourists, and artists.
Falak-ol-Aflak Castle is an ancient fortress which literally means the sky of all the skies or the highest tower fortress built during the Sassanid era.
Ali-Asghar Shalbafian, deputy tourism minister said the integration of Iranian ethnic groups is one of the important features of the festival.
Lorestan province, with its historical and cultural capacities, especially its beautiful nature, is a main tourist destination in western Iran.
