Leader: Everyone Should Help Boost Economy

TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday touched on the government’s economic plans, urging all Iranians to help realize their objectives.
“The work that the government is doing today in the field of economy is important, and everyone, including various forces and individuals, should help the government achieve results, God willing,” he said.
The Leader warned against the enemy’s policy to disable the process of domestic production in Iran with various schemes such as the imposition of sanctions, praising Iranian workers for foiling the plot.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with a group of Iranian workers here, praising them for their great motivation in various fields after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Leader touched on the plots of the global arrogance to cripple production in Iran, saying such hostile policies have become clearer in the past 15 years.
All sanctions against Iran have been imposed with the purpose of knocking out production in the country, the Leader said, adding Iranian workers foiled the enemy’s plot.
“Workers stood at the forefront of the fight against the enemies’ plots to disrupt the country’s production and did not allow the conspiracies to materialize. Workers played a pivotal role in this regard,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
“Among the main policies of arrogant powers since the victory of the Islamic Revolution (in 1979) has been to grind the country’s production to a halt,” he added.
The Leader also stressed that laborers have aborted malicious attempts by the enemies to exploit their demands and have definitively proven their allegiance to the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic establishment.
Ayatollah Khamenei said Islam’s outlook toward workers is one of appreciation. “It is an outlook based on valuing, an outlook that values work and workers. This viewpoint is different from that of the system of capitalism and the disintegrated system of communism.”
Capitalist systems, he added, view workers based on how they can exploit them.
“Workers are viewed as a tool for gaining wealth. That’s how capitalism views workers, and they don’t even hide it. Look at their books on economics and you will reach this same conclusion.”
Further, communism’s view of workers was a slogan, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
“They said they had a workers’ system. For example, Russia under Stalin and Khrushchev was a so-called pro-workers system but the rulers lived like sultans. No trace of supporting workers existed, and pressure was on society and the working class,” he added.
