Leader: World on Verge of New Order
TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said here Tuesday that the world is on the verge of a new order where America is in decline.
“A new international order is ahead for the world in contrast to the bipolar order that existed 20 years ago - the United States and the Soviet Union, the West and the East – and the unipolar world that Bush the Father declared after the fall of the Berlin wall and the death of communist and socialist regimes. Bush declared that the new world order was a unipolar American order, meaning the United States was at the top of the world, but he was wrong, of course,” he told a group of students during a meeting.
“Then he realized that the United States is getting weaker day by day and it is weaker than 20 and odd years ago. Within itself, in its domestic politics, in its foreign policy, in its economy, in its security in everything, America had become weaker than 20 years ago,” the Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the Ukraine war must be seen more deeply and in the context of the emergence of a new world order, which is likely to be followed by complex and difficult processes.
“In such new and complex circumstances the duty of all countries, including the Islamic Republic, is to have a hardware and software presence in this new order to ensure the interests and security of the country and not to be marginalized.”
The Leader touched on the forthcoming International Al-Quds Day, describing the event different from previous years.
“The Palestinian people and youth are showing great sacrifices and the Zionist regime has used the utmost depravity and crime, doing whatever lowly thing it can while the United States and Europe support it.”
Ayatollah Khamenei called the Palestinian people powerful while oppressed. He referred to the struggle of the Palestinian youth who do not allow the Palestinian cause to be forgotten.
“Quds Day is a good opportunity to express sympathy and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and boost their morale,” the Leader said.
The Leader strongly criticized the performance of the Islamic states with regard to the issue of Palestine.
“Unfortunately, Islamic states are acting very badly and are not even willing to talk about the issue of Palestine. Some of them think that the way to help Palestine is to establish relations with the Zionists, while this is a big mistake.”
