Turkey Says ‘Neutralizes’ 13 Militants in Syria
ANKARA (Dispatches) – The Turkish army ‘neutralized’ 13 PKK militants in a cross-border invasion in northern Syria, near Turkey’s southern border, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
Turkish authorities use the term ‘neutralize’ to imply that the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
Since 2016, Turkey has launched incursions into northern Syria purportedly to prevent the formation of a terror corridor. Damascus has described the raids a violation of Syria’s sovereignty.
