IME Weekly Trade Posts $687mn
TEHRAN – Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,008,424 tonnes of commodities with a total value of more than $687 million were traded in its domestic and exporting halls in the last week.
The IME’s report said that over 1,523,000 tonnes of metals and minerals commodities, including 1,042,886 tonnes of cement, 217,582 tonnes of steel, 142,000 tonnes of iron ore, 88,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 14,720 tonnes of zinc, 11,200 tonnes of copper, 6,325 tonnes of aluminum, 450 tonnes of coke, 250 tonnes of lead, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 24 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 22 kg of gold bars with total value of $380 million were traded in the IME’s halls.
It also added that, over 427,496 tonnes oil and petrochemical commodities, including 124,800 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 111,910 tonnes of bitumen, 88,262 tonnes of polymeric products, 51,000 tonnes of lube cut, 37,021 tonnes of chemicals, 10,450 tonnes of sulfur, 4,139 tonnes of base oil and 90 tonnes of argon with total value of $300 million were traded in the IME’s domestic and exporting halls in the last week.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 56,966 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
