Most Friendly Advice for Permanent Solution to Saudi War on Yemen
By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer
It was the most friendly piece of advice ever offered by a fatherly figure for peace in the region, but the question is: Do the invaders of Yemen have the sense to heed it for their own good, or continue to be deceived by the ever-whispering devils to go for another military strike and violation of the ceasefire in the vain hope of scoring a point?
The response of Saudi Arabia remains to be seen, especially in this blessed month of Ramadhan when Riyadh pretends to provide services to pilgrims every evening by arranging Iftar (fast breaking) costing a few petrodollars at the two holiest sanctuaries – the sacred Ka’ba in Mecca and the sanctified mausoleum of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) in Medina.
Unknown to most pilgrims, however, is the billions of dollars of damage the Saudi clan has inflicted upon itself over the past seven years in complicity with its comrade-in-crimes against humanity, the Aal-e Nahyan regime of Abu Dhabi, by bombing to bits the infrastructure of Yemen that includes schools, mosques, power grids, waterworks, hospitals, markets, orphanages, prisons, and even graveyards.
At the same time the Saudis and the Emiratis are responsible for the killing of over 400,000 children, women, and men of Yemen, beside displacing millions of others from their homes and hearths even if it means exposure of fellow Arab Muslims to famine and endemics.
It is obvious that there is no military solution to the war the Saudis and Emiratis have launched on Yemen on the instigation of the US, Britain, and the illegal Zionist entity, on the assumption that the popular Ansarullah Movement will be defeated and the Arab world’s most impoverished but strategically located country become a client state.
This is the sorry state of affairs in our immediate neighbourhood, for the resolving of which the Islamic Republic of Iran has always called for peace and end of war and bloodshed.
At present a two-month conditional truce is underway between the warring sides since the first of Ramadhan, but the invaders have failed to honour their commitments through systematic violations of its clauses such as bombing of residential areas in this blessed month of fasting and refusing to completely lift the naval blockade of Yemen’s seaports as well as the Sana’a international airport for facilitating of food, medical, and other relief supplies.
The most recent suggestion from Tehran for awakening of Saudi conscience was given on Tuesday by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who made it clear:
“Why do you go ahead with the war that you already know there is no possibility [for you] to win? Find a solution and get yourselves out of this arena.”
Let us see whether the warmongering Saudis and Emiratis will lend their ears to the fraternal and friendly piece of advice from the Islamic Republic of Iran, or allow themselves to be deceived by the whispering devils – the US, Britain, and Israel – who despite their supply of the latest lethal weapons to Riyadh for the destruction of Yemen, will also like to see Saudi Arabia and the UAE destroyed, either through draining of their treasuries or the fierce retaliation the defenders of Yemen have vowed against them in continuation of their aggression.
