Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra Performs Iranian Music
TEHRAN -- Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra has performed Persian musical narration in Croatia.
The Zagreb Philharmonic, headed by an Iranian composer Ali Rahbari, performed “Thus said Zarathustra” as a musical narration on stage for the first time in Croatia with some 80 orchestra musicians singing in Persian.
Maestro Rahbari is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He was the conductor of symphony orchestras in Brussels, Prague, Zagreb and Tehran and has won several international gold and silver medals.
The concert was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Croatia as well as the 150th foundation anniversary of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
