Iran’s Women Bag Third Successive Win at Asian Junior Handball Championship

TEHRAN – Iran beat Uzbekistan 25-21 in the 2022 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship on Sunday.
It’s Iran’s third win in the competition.
The Iranian team started the campaign with a 30-24 loss against Kazakhstan but defeated India 42-37 and Thailand 28-21 in its next two matches.
The 2022 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship has brought five teams, namely Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Uzbekistan and Thailand together in Almaty, Kazakhstan from March 7 to 14.
The competition is the 16th edition of the championship under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.
The competition acts as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Women’s Junior World Handball Championship, with top two teams from the championship directly qualifying for the event to be held in Slovenia.
