WSF President Wooldridge Lauds Iranian Women
TEHRAN – The president of the World Squash Federation (WSF) Zena Wooldridge has lauded the Iranian sportswomen.
Squash has developed in Iran in recent years.
“The world is changing and there’s a lot we can do to influence that; and there are nations who are driving change in and through squash where we may not have expected,” Wooldridge said.
“Nations such as Iran are doing some fabulous work to grow the sport amongst women and girls,” she added.
“The World Squash Federation is very much influenced by the actions taken in Iran by the squash federation of the country, which has been able to develop squash, especially the expansion of relations outside Iran and also empowerment of the Iranian women and girls,” Wooldridge said.
