Iran Strongly Condemns Peshawar Bombing
TEHRAN -- Iran on Friday strongly condemned a deadly explosion that ripped through a Shia mosque in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar, as it offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished immediate recovery for those injured in the attack.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the bomb attack was aimed at sowing discord among Muslims. “The Pakistani government and security officials should adopt necessary strategies and take serious measures to prevent criminal activities of terrorists,” he said.
