Kurdish Village Welcomes Nowruz
KURDESTAN (IP) - Every year, in Chashmidar Village in Kurdestan Province, people prepare to celebrate New Year less than a month before Nowruz, carrying out local rituals with traditional ceremonies and the performance of Kurdish music.
Chashmidar Village is located in the Uramanat tourist area and is warmer than other areas due to its geographical location and plants growing earlier.
The people of Chashmidar Village believe that with the growth of plants and new life in nature, it is their New Year, and they celebrate the event every year, which is part of their culture.
This year, the ceremony was held with the performance of various traditional programs. Wearing Kurdish uniforms, which shows the friendship and integration of the people, has given special beauty to this ancient Nowruz celebration in the tourist area of Uramanat.
Chashmidar is a village in the central part of Sarvabad City and is located about 130 km from Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdestan Province.
