Ministry: COVID-19 Takes 227 More Lives
TEHRAN – The total number of people who have contracted the coronavirus in Iran since the outbreak of the pandemic is about to hit 7 million, while more than 6.56 million patients have recovered across the country, the health ministry said on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the caseload surpassed 6,998,900 after 15,340 new cases were detected over the past 24 hours. During the period, 227 patients lost their lives, taking the overall death toll to 135,726, the ministry added.
