IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $702mn
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Sunday reported that around $702mn of various commodities weighting over 2,514,000 tonnes were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week, which in terms of value and volume posted 39% and 40% growth respectively.
The IME reported that over 2,200,000 tonnes tonnes of metal and mineral products including 1,059,000 tonnes of cement, 626,000 tonnes of iron ore, 400,486 tonnes of steel, 92,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,000 tonnes of cast iron, 7,100 tonnes of aluminum, 6,980 tonnes of copper, 1,000 tonnes of coke, 935 tonnes of zinc ingots, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 21 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 1 kg of gold bars with total value of $472mn were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
Furthermore, the IME said over 304,048 tonnes tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including 116,840 tonnes of bitumen, 90,265 tonnes of polymeric products, 45,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 24,000 tonnes of lube cut, 22,907 tonnes of chemicals, 3,750 tonnes of sulfur, 2,609 tonnes of base oil, 800 tonnes of slops wax and 150 tonnes of argon with the total value of $222 mn were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 8,820 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
