‘Zaferanieh near Sunset’, an Iranian feature film, has been selected to go on screen at the 3rd annual Women’s Cinema & Arts International Film Festival (WCAIFF) in India.
‘Zaferanieh near Sunset’ is a dark drug drama directed by Mohammad Astim and produced by Adnan Ka Pousian.
The First Screen Film Distribution, headed by Soulmaz Etemad, is in charge of the international distribution of the film.
‘Zaferanieh near Sunset’ was previously screened at the 2022 Literature Illusion Film Frames Television and Theatre (LIFFT) India Awards where it brought the best actress award for Nazanin Karimi.
Filmed in one long, bravura shot, the flick features Nasim Adabi, Iman Safa, Hamidreza Hedayai and Saber Naseri.
The Women’s Cinema & Arts International Film Festival (WCAIFF) is a platform to promote and screen women’s experimental films.
The latest edition of the festival is scheduled for March 8, 2022.
