Iranian Athletes Bag 4 Medals in Bulgaria Wrestling Contests

TEHRAN - Iranian wrestlers have won one gold and three bronze medals in Bulgaria’s Danklov and Nikolai Petrov Cup competitions.
Iran’s Meysam Delkhani bagged the gold in the 63kg category in the Greco-Roman division.
Dalkhani received the first title in 63kg weight category, which was held with 12 wrestlers on Friday night. He defeated all his opponent.
His compatriots Alireza Abdoli and Alireza Muhammadi won the bronze medal in the 72kg and 82kg categories of the Greco-Roman contests, respectively.
And, Mostafa Qiassi secured the bronze in the 79kg free-style wrestling competitions.
In the semi-finals, Dalkhani defeated European silver medalist Eric Turba of Hungary 7-6 to advance to the final.
Iran has sent eight Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers to the tournament. The 59th edition of the event is being held in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria as of February 17.
This tournament is being held in honor of Dan Kolov who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria and European and World Champion Nikola Petroff.
