Is the issuing of warrants by international legal authorities for arrest of war criminals enough to deter them from committing more crimes against humanity – let alone take physical hold of them for trial and punishment?
People all over the world are asking this question, as the mass murderers not just ignore the verdicts of the International Court of the Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC), but openly ridicule and trash these rulings.
The reason for the increasing insolence of Benjamin Netanyahu in his 14-month non-stop genocide in Gaza and the two-month daily slaughter of the civilians of Lebanon, is the blind backing this public enemy number one of humanity gets from the godfather of all terrorism, the US.
Judges of the UN-affiliated court ruled on Thursday that Netanyahu and his now sacked war minister – a coward named Yuav who uses the English surname ‘Gallant’ to hide his innate criminal nature – “knowingly and intentionally deprived the civilian population in Gaza of all indispensable means of their survival”.
Even as the ICC announced its verdict for arrest of Netanyahu and comrades in war crimes, the US criminally vetoed yet another UN resolution for ceasefire in Gaza, thus giving the Zionist entity the unlimited license to continue the systematic slaughter of defenceless men, women, and children, even in refugee camps, after having their towns and cities turned to rubble.
So far, 44,056 Palestinians, mostly women and children have killed by the relentless bombing of, and injured 104,268 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.
It should be recalled that with the criminal support of Washington’s notorious ‘Genocidal Joe’ (aka ‘Biden the Butcher’) and some west European regimes, the illegal Zionist entity launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in response to usurper Israel’s over seven decades of worsening violence against Palestinians.
Yesterday, Netanyahu, in desperation at the inability of his cowardly army to break the spirit of resistance of Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, unmanly ordered the bombing to rubble of an 8-story residential building in central Beirut (far removed from the war zone), cold-bloodedly killing dozens of unsuspecting civilians.
In view of these facts, ICC and ICJ ought to be empowered to implement the verdicts, with military force if possible, and UN actions against regimes supporting war criminals, instead of the current toothless rulings.
